Acceptable use of Bizhost services
Effective date: 14 July 2025
1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) applies to all services provided by Bizhost B.V. ("Bizhost"): shared hosting (website, WordPress, mail and FTP hosting), domain name registration, managed hosting (managed Kubernetes and managed databases such as MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis and ElasticSearch), CI/CD pipeline setup, and managed AWS and Azure environments set up with Infrastructure as Code.
It applies to everyone who uses a Bizhost service or account: customers, their employees and contractors, end users of their websites and applications, and the clients of resellers.
This AUP forms part of the agreement between Bizhost and the customer and applies alongside Bizhost's general terms and conditions (Algemene Voorwaarden). Where personal data is processed on behalf of the customer, the data processing agreement (Verwerkersovereenkomst) also applies. Bizhost may update this AUP. The effective date shown on this page identifies the current version.
2. Permitted use
The services may be used for lawful business purposes, within the resources of the plan that was ordered. Use that stays within the agreed plan and within this AUP is permitted.
3. Prohibited and restricted use
Prohibited
The following is not allowed, on any service:
- Content or activity that is illegal under Dutch, EU or other applicable law.
- Child sexual abuse material. Bizhost has zero tolerance for this and reports it to the authorities.

- Phishing, fraud, scams, fake web shops, and pyramid or Ponzi schemes.
- Malware, botnets and command-and-control (C2) servers.

4. Compliance with laws and sanctions
The customer complies with Dutch and EU law and with applicable foreign law.
The services may not be used by or for persons, entities or countries that are subject to EU, UN or Dutch sanctions (including the Sanctiewet 1977). Processing or exporting data or technology in breach of sanctions or export controls is not allowed. Bizhost may refuse, suspend or terminate services where needed to comply with sanctions or other laws.
5. Platform rules and abuse prevention
- Secure your account: use strong passwords and keep software, CMS and plugins up to date. The customer is responsible for everything that runs on their account.
- Do not share credentials outside your own organisation.
- Mail sending limits apply. Bizhost may apply rate limits and filters to protect the platform and other customers.
- Report abuse to [email protected]. Include as much detail as possible, such as the URL or domain, the date and time, and evidence like headers or screenshots.
- Bizhost handles reports following the Dutch Notice-and-Takedown code of conduct (Gedragscode Notice-and-Takedown).
6. Third parties and sub-users
The customer is fully responsible for all users they give access to: employees, contractors, clients, and end users of their websites and applications, as well as the clients of resellers.
The customer must impose rules on these users that are at least as strict as this AUP. A violation by any of them counts as a violation by the customer.
7. Monitoring and enforcement
Bizhost does not routinely inspect customer content. Bizhost does monitor the platform (resource usage, network traffic, and security and abuse signals) and investigates reports it receives.
Depending on the severity of the violation, Bizhost may take the following measures:
- a warning with a deadline to resolve the issue;
- removal or blocking of content;
- restriction of services;
- immediate suspension where there is serious harm or a legal obligation;
- termination of the agreement.
Bizhost may cooperate with and report to law enforcement and other competent authorities. Bizhost is not liable for damage caused by justified measures. The customer indemnifies Bizhost against claims arising from violations of this AUP. This AUP is governed by Dutch law.
